Cole Custer stole his first green-flag lead of the day off a lap 207 restart and held it to the finish. Custer takes the win despite the fifth-best average running position in the race, at 7.21. Chander Smith could not parlay his front-row start into a win despite being near the front most of the day. Dale Earnhardt Jr. was able to overcome a helmet issue to finish seventh.
This was the final race of the regular season. With the win, his second of the year, Custer took the regular season championship. He sits 21 points above the cutline to start the playoffs, second-best to Justin Allgaier's 27.
